Announcements – 13 June 2010

Vacation Bible School
We thank the Lord for the VBS that has just passed and the victory He has given us. We had a few of the boys and girls accept the Lord as their personal Saviour. We had wonderful weather and we had a wonderful presence of the Holy Spirit as we work hand in hand, heart to heart to reach out to the many of the children who came to the VBS. We thank the Lord also that we have new children added to the Sunday School. It is such a privilege that the Lord has given us to serve Him and to see people come to Christ. May the Lord continue to help us to grow the Lord’s church and to bring in more children for His glory.

Discipleship Training Course
We have the privilege of Pastor Chantha Chhim preparing to teach a workshop series that will prepare Ambassador Baptist Church to go and make disciples for the Lord. We are in the midst of planning the dates for this course. More details will be out later. We are praying that the Lord will give us fifteen members who will dedicate themselves to this important work, not only to call the people but to personally follow the young believers up till they grow up to be disciplers themselves. The dates and time will be set by next week. It will be three sessions of two hours each. Do pray and be serious about doing the will of GOD. The church will not grow unless we go.

Follow-Up Team
We are planning by God’s grace to have a follow up team. The primary purpose of this team is to call up prospects, send invitations and visit if necessary so that we can follow up on the people that have visited our church. Do pray seriously for the concept of this team and do pray that GOD will raise up a team which will do the work for the Lord. We will need a team of different nationalities as we are seeking to reach the different sectors of the Lord i.e: English, Chinese, Filipino

Fathers’ Day
Next week will be Fathers’ Day. Let us pray for our families and bring our fathers along to church. May the Lord grant us Fathers who will do His will and His bidding.

Teens’ BBQ
There will be a BBQ organized for our teens and to reach out to teens.
Note the details:
Date: 25th June 2010 (overnight at the church)
If you have a teen friend, do invite them for this overnight BBQ.

Ambassador Baptist Church 1st Anniversary Celebration
We thank the Lord for the first year since our independence last year and God’s blessings on us thus far. We want to honour the Lord for His grace towards us. The day of the Independence Celebration will be on the 18th July 2010. More details will follow. Please pray for this very important time.

WEEKLY PRAYER
In the morning before the Sunday Bible Hour, there will be prayer from 8:40am to 9:15am. Those who are early, do join us in as we implore the Lord’s power on the meetings. Let us pray together that God’s Will may be done.

Friday Night Bible Training and Intercession
We will be going back to our Friday night bible training.
Time: 8pm
We will be continuing in our study in the book of Psalm 23. Do come for learning the word of GOD.

Sunday Bible Hour
We will be starting a new series of bible lessons. Do come early to learn the Word of God together. We will be studying the book of 1 Peter together.

Filipino Outreach
There will be a filmshow outreach for the Filipinos. Do pray for our brethren as they reach out to their countrymen.

Filipino Service
There will be the Filipino Outreach service
Date: 27th June 2010
Time: 2.30pm – 4pm
Do pray earnestly for the Lord to add to the ministry as our brethren work for the Lord.

Tracting and Visitation
Do pray earnestly for the printing of the tracts. We are eager to begin outreach every Tuesday and Wednesday Night again. We are thinking and praying earnestly also to begin an outreach on Saturdays. Do pray for the Lord’s leading in this matter.
